Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Merry All Hallows Eve!  Blessed Samhain!

I had an awesome Halloween and hope everyone else did, too.  I worked a little on the dollhouse today and got a fantastic deal for some Halloween costume remnant fabric at Joann's.  I really wasn't looking forward to painting the couch, chair, and bedding, but that project is over!  I'm pretty happy with the color.  I chose silver for all of it because I can accessorize that however I want.  Yay!  I'm just about to start painting and staining the walls and floors.  It's really coming together.

Well, until next time!

Hard at Work

I've been working pretty hard on creating little things for the house.  It's so much fun working with clay that I've really been putting off painting the walls and doing the floors.  I just keep thinking of new things to make!

Yesterday, I made a few bottles out of some beads I had in one of my craft tubs.  I think I made too many, but oh well. :)  Today, I've made a jack o' lantern in-progress, a voodoo doll, some candy, a frog, and a *shudder* scorpion.  I'll post some pics soon!

Paper Crafts are fun!

Hello All!  I haven't realy done anything new to the dollhouse, but I felt the need to post a few pictures of some paper crafts I made with the Mini Monsters and Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridges.  I might play a little more tonight.

This one is of a large treat bag, a mini treat bag, and a paper monster with wings.

And this one is of two paper monsters and the extremely frustrating 3D house I constructed.  It paid off in the end, but it was such a long process.

Anyway, more dollhouse updates to come!

WoooHooo! October's here!

It's October.  Yippee!!!  I love October.

I've been working on a few things for the dollhouse today, and I've got to say...I'm pretty proud of myself. :)

The picture above is 1 batch of things I've completed.  There's a heart, a red candleholder, red ball candy (for One Missed Call), a severed arm, a servered leg, a purple bowl, 3 different severed heads, 3 severed fingers, a pentagram, a severed nose, 2 severed tongues, and a severed hook hand.  And, no, I did not realize how many severed things I made until just typing this up.

This batch contains yet another severed head, a brain, intestines, a bunch of worms, a moldy sandwich, a corn cob (to represent Children of the Corn), a bronze bowl, the necronomicon, a bloody axe, a lantern, a bloody ribcage, a blood-dripping pie (for Thinner), and a sword.  Also in the mix is a Jack Skellington head of which I am particularly proud.  With the exception of the ribcage, sword, axe, pie, lantern, and Chucky doll (made from an old Polly Pocket doll), I made everything with Sculpey clay.  The forementioned items just needed some dressing up.

Well, I feel like I worked hard today.  I think things are coming together.

Until next time...Seeya!

Time for more work!

Well, it's getting closer to Halloween, so the dollhouse is more on my mind.  I've done a few things today, including sanding the outside to make it look a little worn and old.  I've also started making some clay objects to go in the house.  I'm trying to incorporate little things from horror films in the house.  I've made a piece of corn for Children of the Corn, a hook for Candyman, and some red candy pieces for One Missed Call.  I've also made some cobblestones for my walkway and some various body parts just for fun.  I made a heart that I'm particularly proud of.  I'll be posting some pics of those soon.  I've also made some burnt scrolls and other fun pieces of burnt edged paper.  I'll put some spells or something on them soon.

What I've Done So Far...

This is a pic of what I've completed so far on the outside of my dollhouse. I've got the outside base work finished, and now I've got to do more to make it creepy. Right now, it's dark but still not as scary as I would like it to be.

This...

...is my attempt at determining what I still need to get furniture-wise for the house. I still need a few things, but I'll gradually get them. I'm really excited to start making all of my furniture creepy. I still haven't done anything with the big block of Sculpey clay yet. I have a lot of stuff to do!

So October's almost over...

...and I really couldn't let my favorite month go by without posting something so...

Here's a super cute pic of my dog by this year's pumpkin choice:

And this is a pic of an awesome haunted castle cake I made and decorated:

I thought it was pretty cool - if I do say so myself.

Also, just to make it clear...I AM STILL WORKING ON THE DOLLHOUSE.  The outside looks really awesome right now, so I'm pretty happy with the development.  I'll post pictures of it soon.

Until next time!  Oh, and one more thing...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
